Can a free VPN throttle my connection and steal credit card info?

Asked 2 years ago

Hi guys, I need a VPN to protect my private and personal data that is on my computer. I often store banking details, login details, and passwords on my PC. I've increasingly felt more and more paranoid as I read about hackers and how people have their identities stolen. I can't really afford to pay for a VPN, but I've noticed that there are some free ones around. Will it be as safe as a paid VPN, or not?

A free VPN can never compete with a paid one regarding security and safety. Some VPN clients steal your banking credentials through malware, like ledger numbers and passwords. On the contrary, accessing HTTPS associations through a quality VPN won't do such a thing. A premium VPN will help eliminate any possible data security hazards.
