Does using a VPN prevent a fake virus warning pop up?

Asked 2 years ago

Hi there. I occasionally encounter fake virus warning pop ups on websites, and I am looking for ways to block these pop ups due to the fact that I have been told that clicking on these can result in malware downloads. Does anyone know if using a VPN prevents these pop ups? TYIA.

Using a VPN will prevent you from receiving fake virus warning pop-ups. When you use a VPN, your computer becomes part of a VPN network. This means that all data in and out of your computer is encrypted and protected by the VPN provider's security measures. Therefore, a premium VPN service will block all the malware and pop-ups sent your way by the bots or breachers.
