Is a VPN good for endpoint encryption and blocking suspicious traffic?
I have a start-up company and my employees have brought forth the suggestion of working remotely on some days of the week, and I thought it was a great idea. Especially since most businesses are looking to implement a 4-day work week. As part of this flexible workspace, I was thinking of ways in which I could protect company data from hackers. Would a VPN be a good idea for security and encrypting our data?Asked 9 months ago

Which VPN service has good bandwidth and a fast connection?
I am traveling for the next 2 months and I still want to be able to be present for important meetings. I heard that VPNs are a great idea when traveling in order to protect one's data. What I realized, however, is that there are a ton of VPNs out there, and I need one that is of good quality, especially in internet speed and security. Slow connections can be frustrating, and I need a VPN with a fast connection suitable for video conferencing.Asked 8 months ago

Can a VPN help keep a company's founder identity anonymous?
Hi, the CEO of our company wishes to remain anonymous for reasons not entirely clear to us. I work as his administrator, and he has instructed me to look for a way that he can conduct research on behalf of the company yet avoid having his data tracked and collected. Would getting a VPN to hide his IP address be sufficient?Asked 10 months ago

Does a VPN secure business communications on a public network?
Good morning. I run a VoIP system for our remote team members so that they have 'office' numbers. I was wondering whether we could use a VPN for this as well. Often they are running on public networks, and we work with a lot of sensitive data that's best encrypted, and our conversations are best kept untracked and confidential. Asked 9 months ago

Is it safe to use a company VPN and access documents on public Wi-Fi?
Hi, I work remotely for an online company, and they gave us VPNs to do research and qualitative data analysis. However, there are people building next to my house, and they're incredibly loud. I struggle to concentrate. I want to go to a coffee shop to work in the morning, but I'm not sure if the VPN would be secure enough to encrypt my research on a public network. Help? Would it be secure, or are there additional steps that I should be taking to ensure data security?Asked 10 months ago

Can I use a VPN when I use an app with third-party data collection?
I recently learned that most, if not all, smart device apps collect user data and send it to third-party tracking companies. I want to create and send out a survey for my business, but I don't want other companies to see the information I collect. Would installing a VPN allow me to encrypt and secure my data collection, or is this wishful thinking?Asked 10 months ago

Can I use a VPN to bypass geo-restrictions for remote teams?
I often make tutorial videos and upload them to YouTube so that all team members can be kept up to date on the new systems and work methodologies. However, recently, some of them have reported that their access is restricted because of their geographical location. Would it help if I got a VPN account that all team members could connect to hide their IP addresses and location? Asked 10 months ago

Can I safely access my home computer data from a different device?
Hi everyone, I went to visit a friend in another city for a week and I intended to work while I'm there. However, I left my PC at home! I'm in Edgewater, Chicago, and she is in Rockford, so there is no way I can drive back to fetch it. She said I could use her desktop; however, she doesn't have a VPN. Would it still be considered safe to access my home network data, or is it too much of a security risk?Asked 10 months ago

Does a VPN protect my privacy over a remote desktop link?
Hello, I find myself in the position where I will be working with sensitive work data over a remote desktop link. I'm concerned that a VPN may not be enough to encrypt my connection. Do you think my data will be secure enough from hackers, or are there additional precautions I should take to increase security?Asked 10 months ago
