How do I prevent my VPN from disconnecting?

Hey. I am experiencing an issue with my VPN where it disconnects without notifying me that the connection has been dropped. I have already checked my WiFi network and router, and the problem is not coming from there. Does anybody know how I can prevent my VPN from disconnecting in future? Thanks.
