Can using a VPN prevent a dictionary attack?

Asked 2 years ago

Hi there. One of my friends told me about how cyber criminals guess account passwords to systems online in order hack into these systems in the form of a dictionary attack. This has caused a concern that this may happen with my passwords, and I therefore am looking for ways to prevent these types of attacks from occurring. Does anyone know if a VPN is a good way to do so? TYIA.

A dictionary attack is based on a user's personal information that is well protected with the help of a VPN. Therefore, choosing a premium VPN service can be an ideal prevention strategy aside from using a complicated password. An expert-suggested VPN service is SurfShark, which uses standard internet security protocols to protect your local database.
