How can I unblock Whatsapp using a VPN?
Asked 2 years ago
Hello! I am travelling to the United Arab Emirates for a few months of holiday, but I have heard that Whatsapp is blocked in this country. Since all of my family and friends primarily use Whatsapp as a form of messaging and calling, I will not be able to contact them while I am in the UAE. I therefore am considering using a VPN to unblock Whatsapp whilst I am there, but I do not know how to go about it. Does anybody know which steps to take to unblock Whatsapp using a VPN? Thanks in advance.

Yes, due to legal reasons, certain apps are banned in some countries (as is the case with WhatsApp for UAE). However, you can use a VPN to change your device's IP address, allowing you to "relocate" and access the restricted apps. In your case, WhatsApp is quite important, as it's a way to communicate with your family and friends at home. So, consider getting a reliable VPN with fast servers and just reinstalling WhatsApp. You'll be then able to use it just like usual, but the speed might be slower due to the connection to the VPN.
