Phone stolen, keep getting ransomware spam.

Hey everyone, about a week ago my phone was stolen. Since then I've noticed I keep getting emails and pop ups which are obviously spam/ransomware. Anyone know of a way to reduce the amount of spam I'm getting? I'm thinking of using a VPN for a while but I'm not sure if that would help? Cheers.
