Can VPNs stream live events not available in your location?

Asked 2 years ago

My favorite band is playing on live TV next weekend, but they're playing in North America. I really want to watch their concert live on my new laptop I got for my birthday. I saw that my dad installed a VPN on my laptop so that I could have all my private information kept secure and safe from hackers. Will this VPN allow me to stream the concert even though it's not available in my location?

Absolutely! In addition to being used for protecting your data online, VPNs can also be very useful for showing you data (like video streams) that might not be available in your region. If, for example, you want to watch a TV show that isn't available on Netflix in your country, you can turn on a VPN, switch your location to a place where it's available, and watch the TV show.
