Can a VPN protect my biometric data?
Asked 2 years ago
Hey. I often use my fingerprints to log into my bank accounts online, and I am looking for ways to prevent my fingerprint data from being stolen from hackers. Anybody know if using a VPN works well in securing biometric data? Thanks in advance for responses.

When using a VPN, your biometric data is not sent directly from your computer to the server—instead, it's encrypted at rest before being sent from the machine (or device) you're using. It means even if someone could access your device, they wouldn't be able to see any of your sensitive information because it would be encrypted before leaving the device itself.
