Will using a VPN help me to avoid packet sniffing?

Asked 2 years ago

Hello. I have recently heard that cyber criminals use packet sniffing software to steal data which flows through a network. Apparently this is something that commonly happens. Thus, I am looking for ways to protect my network against packet sniffing. Does anyone know if a VPN is sufficient for this? Thanks for any responses!

Packet sniffers are a menace to your sensitive data protection. These breachers can access your information that is traveling on the internet without any protection. However, VPN prevents that by providing your data the privacy and security it needs. Virtual networks create an encrypted tunnel starting from your device to the server. As a result, any external access to the data is restricted.
