Will a VPN with built-in MFA add security without slowing internet speed?

Asked a year ago

I'm aware that running a VPN already slows down one's internet connection, but I would like to add an extra layer of login security by using an MFA. This got me thinking about whether I should switch VPN service providers to a premium VPN that already has an MFA built into the system. This way, it shouldn't decrease the internet connection speed. Am I correct?

MFA has no noticeable impact on the internet speed, provided that it doesn't affect encryption. MFA is just the process of logging into the account. After that, its task is finished. However, some VPNs add an extra layer of encryption gateway to the data after MFA system initiation. Therefore, data travels much slower, affecting your internet speed.
