Can a VPN help to improve buffering issues while streaming movies?
Asked 2 years ago
Hey. I have heard mixed reviews about whether VPN causes buffering or slows down buffering while streaming movies online. Has anybody noticed that their buffering issues goes away when they are not using their VPN? Or does anyone notice the opposite, for example, that their buffering is faster when they are using a VPN?

Usually, a VPN slows down your Internet speed more than it speeds it up, but in some cases (usually due to server proximity), a VPN might actually help you with buffering & loading speed regarding movies. This usually happens when the VPN's server is physically closer to the streaming server than it is to your computer. So, consider trying out a reliable & fast VPN and seeing whether or not the buffering speed improves.
