Will a VPN help to detect if a client's sensitive data has been compromised?

Asked 2 years ago

So a VPN can encrypt data, and that's great. But I want to know how I will know if the privacy and security of my business's client base have been breached. Any idea if a VPN will give me an alert? And if a hacker has gained access, how do I get them out and re-secure the data?

A VPN is designed to encrypt and guarantee your data security. However, if your data is breached, it won't alarm you directly about hackers' location, place, or credentials. Some premium VPNs like Surfshark can detect suspicious activity or failed login attempts and notify you about them. Although these aren't enough proof of data stealing, they are still enough to make you cautious about sensitive data protection.
