Will using a VPN prevent an ARP spoofing attack?

Asked 2 years ago

Hello. I have recently learnt about how ARP spoofing is a serious threat to businesses due to the fact that it can clear the way for other attacks such as MITM attacks. I therefore am looking for ways to protect my marketing agency from such an attack. Does anyone know if VPNs are effective in preventing these types of attacks? TYIA.

VPNs are a terrific way to protect yourself from ARP spoofing attacks on your router. If someone were to spoof your IP address, they would have to be able to gain access to your network so they could send fake packets to your IP address. This is impossible when using a VPN because all traffic goes through an encrypted tunnel, protecting it from being read by anyone outside it.
