Can I see people from other locations if I change my location?

I am registered on a dating site and I hear others saying that they can get potential dating matches from different locations. When I checked, this was for people who had subscribed to the premium accounts. If I changed my location with a VPN, would I still be able to see profiles from a different place without a premium subscription on the dating site?

Yes, using a VPN will let you see people that live outside of your region. Most dating sites and apps (like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge) show you people that are within a specific range of your location (usually around 20-50 miles). You can't see people outside of this range, unless you're physically there or your geolocation has changed. Thankfully, you can mask your real location with a VPN and see people in other locations without having to subscribe to premium.
